2009 Taste & Glide: Saturday, March 7th |

Annual Taste and Glide Event The annual Taste & Glide, an eat and ski event, is held on the first Saturday in March. The event runs from 11:00am to 3:00pm and is sponsored by the Friends of Valley Spur, Sydney’s Restaurant, Coca-Cola of Marquette, and the USDA Forest Service. Participants pay a fee and then ski from one trailside buffet table to the next, sampling and enjoying many delicious foods, such as chocolate covered strawberries! The trailside buffets are accessible from both the traditional and the skating trails. The Log-cabin Valley Spur Lodge is open for warming, socializing, eating and entertainment. This fun filled family event has earned a favorable reputation over a decade. |
