The biking and hiking trails are now ready for use! Trail maps of the bike loops are available for printing here. So load up your mountain bikes or put on those hiking shoes and come on out and enjoy what Valley Spur has to offer you in the summer months.

The snow has left us fast in the past week. Soon the trees will be sprouting leaves. There’s already evidence of spring bulbs pushing up through the ground. Spring has finally spung in Alger County. Skiing is now but memories of the 07-08 season and dreams of 08-09.

Just a reminder that the annual Friends of Valley Spur meeting will be held at the lodge on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 starting at 9am. There will be election of officers and a pot luck following a trail work bee. Hope to see you there!
